With six razor sharp teeth it’s important that you don’t get too close, especially since she’s outgrowing her ‘cage’ rather quickly 🙂 So cute and cuddly but with a ferocious bite 😀 I’m not sure why you were in there today but you sure did have some fun! When I drop the floor down you’ll have even more room to practice your pull-ups, just like me in the gym 🙂 And just like in the ‘Watchmen’ you said to your toys…

None of you seem to understand. I’m not locked in here with you… you’re locked in here with me!

There was something else that happened today while I come to think about it. We took a different approach with brushing your teeth and tried a finger toothbrush for the first time. It works OK… however it’s made of rubber and when 6 razor sharp teeth clamp down on it… OUCH! I think we’re going to go back to the normal toothbrush and battle through until you get used to having them cleaned. The experience led to some cute pictures 😀

We knew it was inevitable and now it’s finally happening, you’re moving to your own bedroom! I think I’ve been putting the task of moving your bed off for a while now, there’s part of me that doesn’t want you to leave… but you can’t sleep with us forever. Don’t worry though as Mummy and I are also moving to the guest bedroom where we’ll be in easy reach. Plus we have two watchful eyes on you throughout the night, there’s no escaping our gaze 🙂

The following morning you woke up with the same ‘bed hair’ as usual 😀

So this evening, after your tablet time at the creche, I put you to work… cleaning the floor 😀 It’s not exactly crawling however you’re extremely close. You’re kind of pulling yourself along the floor while you legs push from the side, kind of like a frog 🙂 The videos will show you what I mean. I was somewhat excited in the videos so please ignore me, I’m just a little crazy… I wonder if that’s where your nickname came from? 😀

I happened to glance through the window while picking you up today and what did I see… someone happily watching cartoons on the creche’s tablet! 😀 What did you have to do to wing that? You must of been a very good girl during the day! Christine assured me they were purely educational cartoons… I’m not entirely convinced. So tonight there’ll be no screen time, we don’t want you getting square eyes do we! 🙂

It’s been a rather quiet week here, a combination of bad weather and lots of things going on last weekend. When I started this blog / vlog I was initially surprised by the amount of posts we were doing on a daily basis, nevermind on a weekly basis. I suppose that’s how it is when you become a parent, lots of new things happening, lots of firsts all the time.

I hope we can continue to post on a regular basis so you can get an insight into how your childhood was and most importantly… how crazy your parents are 😀 So… it’s Friday morning and Mummy is in the shower, you’re sitting watching cartoons (I know it’s bad) and I’m slowly getting ready… however I saw an opportunity to accomplish something I’ve been trying for a while… I got it on your head without you noticing! I’m entertained by the smallest of things 😀

Who’d of thought it, from 0 to 6 teeth in the span of a few months. So you now have a total of 2 teeth on the bottom and 4 on the top. It’s so strange to look at them now, I still remember when you were all gummy! It was definitely less painful when you bit us 😀 When you look at the picture you’ll realize you’re upside down, it’s hard to get a good picture so I had to resort to tickling your neck 🙂 Mummy took a great picture I think!

Having emptied your toys all over the floor we were left with an empty bag. The fact that this bag is very similar in size to you makes for some entertaining options 😀 After a few times under the bag you got the hang of taking it off pretty quickly. We’re going to have to get a bigger bag soon though 🙂 You’ll like that right?…. more toys to go in it!!

Today auntie Sarah, Uncle Steve and one of your cousins Jessica came to visit us for the day. Jessica found you adorable and spent a lot of time playing with you on the floor. You took great pride in getting all your toys out to show her! She built lots of towers for you to destroy, which as always kept you very happy. One day when you’re able to last on a 7 hour flight we’ll have to take a trip to Bermuda to see them.

In the evening we all went out for a Greek meal together where you were declared Princess and given the seat at the head of the table 🙂

So we had a small incident while using the baby walker in the garden today. You took a fancy to one of the plant pots and before we could stop you… you took a handful of soil and ate it 😀 I know you want to put your new teeth to the test but you don’t have to eat everything my dear 🙂

I was wondering what would of happened if you’d found a stone or something… so we also put that to the test. Upon being given the stone you automatically tried to eat that as well! So for now we’ll have to keep a very close watch on you until you learn what it edible and what’s not 😀

Normally a person wakes up with a dead arm or leg… you on the other hand woke up with a hand print on your face 😀 You can even see the pattern of the mattress as well! It looks like you’ve been slapped by another baby! It took a while to fade but you’re back to normally, just the usual scratches here and there from your nails.

Mummy let you on the couch (I know that sounds bad… doggy!), where you and her proceeded to watch TV. She let you have a lick of one of her seeds, you’re too young to eat one by yourself.

One of my favorite videos is when we played fetch together. I think it had everything… laughing, clapping, rolling, screaming and bottom bumping… the last one is extremely funny to watch. I guess you could say you were trying to twerk lying down 😀 I have a feeling that when you can actually walk and fetch things… I might have to make use of this fact a lot 🙂

… weighing in at 8.5 KG… Emily ‘The Princess’ Thomas!! OK… you’re not taking up boxing but you sure do look like one in your brand new dressing gown. We bought you this when we were in London, one of Mummy’s many shopping stops 😀 We’re using this in the morning on cold mornings, our little warm ducky!

Seems our little one has got a case of the giggles! 😀 You took a real liking to Princess’s hair. We like to replay this video for you as watching yourself laughing brings it all back, sending you into more fits of laughter! 🙂

Today I finally got around to buying some sand for your newly bought sandpit. Couple this with some nice weather and it’s play time in the garden. You ran around a bit in your baby walker before parking it next the the sandpit. You had a ball destroying everything Mummy and I made for you, sand castles and crabs. As you love to use your legs you ended up making lots of sand angels 😀 Mummy found sand everywhere… and I mean everywhere during your bath time that night 🙂

We’re really putting your legs to work 🙂 Got to feel the burn in those quads and hamstrings, otherwise you’re not trying hard enough right? This morning you took an avid interest in the table, more specifically what I put on it to tease you 😀 However it did lead to you standing on your own with a little help of course. You must of thought you were in the baby bouncer with the way you bounced up and down.

Now that you have your ‘freedom’ with your baby walker you’re able to gain access to more areas of the house, including our cupboards! I think a trip to baby dump is in order soon to buy some child locks for every drawer we have in house 🙂 Keep those pesky babies out right?!?!? 😀 As Mummy said in the video, all we have in those ones are cleaning products, are you volunteering to help with the Friday night clean?

So there are a vast number of ways of stopping you crying… but why is it that normally the least expensive ones are the most effective?… like an empty box 😀 When it comes to feeding time you have a very expressive character, especially when we’re too slow or you feel like you’d like more treats 😀

There are certain jobs that Mummy and I try to fob off on each other 😀 First it was changing your diaper… then it was putting you to bed… and now it’s brushing your teeth 😀 You’re not the most cooperative baby when it comes to cleaning, even though the toothpaste we use takes soooo lekker! We decided to try another approach and get another more grown up (but still baby) toothbrush, the results were the same 🙁 Once you gums calm down after healing I’m sure it’ll go better.

It’s travel day for real this time so you know what that means… photo montage!

The flight home was not the best, even cartoons couldn’t overcome your over tiredness 🙁 It’s lucky we’ll never see anyone on that plane again right? 😀 Anyway, you’re home now with all your toys and playing mat, you’ll see all your friends at creche tomorrow.
